German industrial conglomerate Siemens AG is buying American software developer Bright Software for $1.58 billion. Bright Software develops software for education, healthcare, and urban infrastructure management. With the help of this deal, Siemens is trying to gain a foothold in the American software market, including software for urban infrastructure and smart home management.The transaction amount will be $1.58 billion, while the projected revenue of the American company by the end of 2022 may reach only $180 million.
